Keep Out

Posted by on Nov 2, 2010 in Kai, Me | 15 comments

It has been a dark, dank, Novemberery sort of day, where our moods have been as low and grey as the sky. Just one of THOSE days. Both of us tired and full of thoughts.

There was nothing to be done but hide away for a while.

And so we made somewhere to do just that.

We’ll let you in if you’re quiet.

This way… Watch out for the dragon and the spiders cause they bite.

And if you want to find out what came in the enormous box that kept us occupied all day, well then pop back in a day or two.

The perfect spot to hide from the world! Love that Dragon, but the spider would certainly keep me away!

Luckily I'm not particularly interested in the contents of the box *looks down to watch nose growing at an alarming pace*

Enjoy your fort Kai, it's superb!

I'm loving this. What a great idea. I went to look for a box to do this today, but as per you never have one when your looking for one. I used some blankets and some dining room chairs. Wasn't as cool as yours and I decided it was mine not the kids but sometimes that's just the way it goes ;) xxx

Hello! Have been thinking about this. It's a tricky age isn't it? Kai was still a cling-on baby then, could never put him down – I used to wear him in a sling as I did stuff round the house. We also used the local sensory room a lot. Children's Centres often have them, although ours is at our local library. Lots of lights and music and stuff. He loved that.

Sorry I can't think of anything else! Will let you know if I remember anything else x
