First Aid

Posted by on Feb 12, 2010 in Uncategorized | 27 comments

I did not feel good tonight.
And you knew it didn’t you?
My little guy.

Slumped on sofa,
eyes low, glazed,
body tired, crumpled
in defeat.

I gave you all today.
I gave the world all.
There was nothing left.

Small hands push firmly.
Lay your mama down
till head meets waiting rest.
And thinking face, thinks
before purposefully pirouetting,
fetching the cold hot water bottle
from the toy-strewn floor.

Tucked under me
with a kiss
a pat
a gentle stroke of my hair,
before turning away.

Back to business.

My boy.
Of 19 months wise.

You are just fine.
You are perfect
in fact.

Thank you.

Such a lovely post Josie. They do certainly feel when something is not right. They are so intuitive. I thought you needed a little bit of sunshine so there is an award waiting for you over at mine! X

why does your blog never remember by details? does it hate me? sob!

What a fabulous little chap you have! I’m, sure mine would simply leap on my head and smack me around the face with said hot water bottle. Little darlings.

Right, now you are feeling better am going to start bugging you. I could really do with knowing when this JR meet up is (because obviously the whole world revolves around me, don’t you know) – family and friends trying to book me up for my impending visit and i really want to keep that weekend free if it happens to be when I’m in the UK.

    Insensitive and pushy? Moi? never.
